||In large soup pot over medium-high heat sauté onion and garlic in olive oil. Add cubed steak and brown.
||Add spices and tomato paste and mix well. Add broth and canned tomatoes, and bring to a boil.
||Turn heat to low and simmer loosely covered for 4 hours stirring occasionally until thickened and beans are tender.
||Add salt and pepper to taste.
