Rotini with Creamy Tomato Sauce
Delicious and simple creamy tomato sauce pasta.
2 oz whole wheat rotini pasta
5/8 cup skim ricotta cheese
1 5/8 cups diced tomatoes
2 tsps sugar
0.12 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
1 tbsp chopped chives
2 cloves garlic
Cook and drain rotini pasta as directed on package, omitting any oil.
Spray a large saucepan with non-stick spray and heat over medium high heat.
Cook garlic in saucepan until tender
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Heat to boiling, then reduce to simmer.
Cook, uncovered, 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
Serve over rotini.
