Cabbage Patch Soup
A wonderful slow cooker recipe.
2 tsps chili powder
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 <span class="measurestring" title="can (10.5 oz), prepared">can</span> beef broth
5 <span class="measurestring" title="stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long)">stalks medium</span> chopped celery
2 tsps garlic, chopped
1 cup chopped onion
3 cups shredded cabbage
2 lbs lean ground beef
28 oz diced tomatoes
15 oz tomato sauce
15 oz kidney beans (drained)
Brown the ground beef in a pan and add the chopped onion and celery until onion is clear.
Place bhe beef, onion and celery mix in to a 5 qt slow cooker and add all other ingredients.
Stir and cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 6 hours.
