1. | Heat oil in pot. |
2. | Add onions, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. |
3. | Add garlic, bay leaf and rinsed and drained peas. Sauté for 2 minutes. |
4. | Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. |
5. | Let simmer on medium heat until peas are tender (about 45 minutes ). |
6. | Once tender, find and remove bay leaf, then take hand blender and blend soup until desired consistency. |
