|1.||Pre-heat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).|
|2.||Lightly grease a 13 x 9 "glass baking dish with 2 teaspoons of the butter. Cream together 1 stick of the butter in a large bowl.|

|4.||In a separate bowl sift together 1 cup flour, baking soda, teaspoon of cinnamon and salt.|

|6.||Fold in the apples. Pour into dish spreading to the edges.|
|7.||Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and 4 tablespoons butter in to separate bowl and mix until it makes a coarse crumble.|
|8.||Add to top of cake mix. Cook until golden brown (35-40 minutes). Let cool for 10 minutes.|
