1. |
Prepare the burger. Mince two cloves of garlic, and chop 3-4 rings of onion and add to the ground turkey. |
2. |
Add vinegar, chili and cayenne powder to the turkey meat and mix it all up by hand. |
3. |
Sauté 1/4 of the onion and 2 cloves of garlic in olive oil over medium heat until the onions are clear and the garlic is fragrant. |
4. |
Then add the salsa and simmer until almost all of the water has boiled off. |
5. |
While preparing the onions, garlic, and salsa, heat up a skillet to high, medium-high heat. Form the ground turkey and ingredients into a patty and place on skillet. |
6. |
Lightly coat each side of the turkey burger with Dijon mustard when flipping the burger. Cook the burger until golden brown or cut it in half and check the inside to see if it has cooked all the way through. |
7. |
While the burger is cooking, slice the piece of bread in two and toast or grill. |
8. |
Once the bread has finished toasting, place the turkey burger on one slice, add sauteed ingredients, and top with the other half piece of bread. |
