1. | Pre-heat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). |
2. | In large bowl combine flour, salt, sugar, spice and baking soda. Set aside. |
3. | In another bowl combine, applesauce, pumpkin, egg substitute and water. |
4. | Combine pumpkin mixture with dry ingredients. |
5. | Bake in loaf pan for appropriately 50-60 minutes. |
6. | If using plain whole wheat flour instead of whole wheat pastry flour, use a little less. |
7. | Note: recipe will make 2 loaves, for better portion control use muffin tins instead of loaves. |
