Pinto Beans with Smoked Ham Hock
For some really good beans with plenty of taste.
16 oz smoked ham hock
5 tbsps chili powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp pepper
1 tsp salt
3 cups pinto beans
Combine beans and ham hocks in a large pot, cover with water.
Add chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to boil and simmer uncovered for 3-4 hours until beans are tender.
