Midwestern Macaroni Salad

  1. Cook elbows per package directions, drain and rinse under cold water - set aside. Defrost peas under cool water.
  2. Chop, celery, carrots, scallions, red pepper and pickles - add to large bowl.
  3. Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, onion powder, paprika and ground black pepper. Add salt lightly to taste.
  4. Add elbows and peas to vegetable mixture. Stir in mayonnaise and spice mixture and add shredded cheese.
  5. Stir to combine.
